Painted with lots of love, as well as hate, castles, collage, and a strong deliberation of uncertainty, these paintings overwhelm the gallery space as they are several times larger than the artist herself. Twisting and turning in their skewed free-standing stance, they confront you as you enter and loiter in your head when you leave. Phrases like "Don't move when you are desperate" and "Weak because you are scared" capture those fleeting feelings we all have and often try to run far away from.
The canvases are two-sided and consist of bed-sheets pulled skin tight over wooden frames, their respective histories wholly revealed with warts and all to the public through layers of paint, words, cut-outs, and appendages. They reveal the unsung histories of our inner most battles with love, regret, insecurity, and all of those other "I'm fragile and over-worried human being" emotions, all balled up into some intense work that should not be missed.
