Walking through the gallery space this morning with somewhat fresh eyes, I find myself curious as to what we actually did in this room together. Locked in for all of Thanksgiving week, Kelie and I created a room within a room, a room composed of our art and built for our art as well as to house ourselves while making the work. Upon further inspection, I see traces of the human hand and then I begin to vaguely remember us making these things but its almost as if they had created themselves while I wasn't looking. I've had dreams of a similar look and feel: a warm and fuzzy glow surrounding faceless animal-like figures, a woman with an eye patch, a shivering man in a bear-suit outside of a cave. All searching for a place to call home, a place to escape their haunted past, a fort to hide in and make things and sew their world shut.We invite you to come and make Cinders your crawlspace away from the world for a little while....
