The Third Leg is the mystical appendage exposed by Ginger Brooks Takahashi, Logan MacDonald and Onya Hogan-Finlay at Cinders this coming week. The Third Leg ventures into Glorious Holes, worm holes, ass holes, mouths, and peep holes, exploring queer locations of fantastic desire. Please come join us, peep. We will quilt together. Setting a scene for queers to reconsider community and feminist values via collective production, Takahashi will invite friends and friends-of-friends to come together to work on a quilt emblazoned "sweet buns let me your gun." Much like the 1970s feminist consciousness-raising sessions, these informal gatherings acknowledge the intersections of queer community and contemporary art. |
